Biography |
Sarah Scofield, Esq.
Sarah Scofield has practiced law for over ten years and has concentrated in the fields of trusts and estates, business and real estate transactions.
She has worked with estates of various sizes and has significant experience with the trust departments of banks and representation before the New York State Surrogate’s Court. Her attentive, result-oriented approach produces tax-effective estate plans and the successful resolution of pending Surrogate’s Court proceedings.
The business aspect of her practice includes forming corporate entities in a variety of industries and advising entities in their operations, developments and expansion. She has also been involved in a number of real estate transactions involving the sale and leaseback of commercial property and the sale and purchase of cooperative and condominium apartments in the New York City market.
Sarah graduated from the University of Denver, earning her undergraduate degree in international business, cum laude, in 1995, and her law degree in 1998. She is admitted to practice in New York, Colorado and Washington States. She is a member of the Estate Planning Council of New York City, the UK-based Society of Trusts and Estates Practitioners, the New York City Bar and the New York State Bar Association, Trusts and Estates, Business Law and Real Estate Sections.
